Zest4life - a healthy move
MUM2B Personal Training
What
If you are looking for customised exercise sessions to maintain your fitness levels and help keep you healthy during your pregnancy, then this is the ideal choice. With a studio that is well-equipped, modern and comfortable, and immediate access to lovely countryside for outdoor exercise, Mum2B Personal Training is a safe, effective and pleasant way to stay fit in pregnancy.
Each session is carefully planned according to whether you are in the first, second or third trimester of pregnancy, how you are feeling, and the postural changes that you will be experiencing as your pregnancy progresses. Pilates and Swiss ball exercises will be incorporated into your bespoke sessions to help protect you against back pain by keeping the deep abdominals toned and the back muscles strong. Bite-sized chunks of exercise will also be prepared for you to do at home between sessions, including gentle moves designed to relax and “open” up any areas of tightness that you may be experiencing.
How
Personal training is particularly beneficial when there is continuity and although I am willing to – and sometimes do – provide one-off sessions for those wishing to seek general advice on exercising safely during the ante natal period, from experience I find that most people’s good intentions to exercise, fall by the wayside. I would suggest the following approach:
Let’s meet up at my studio for an initial chat so that you can tell me about your pregnancy, what exercise you enjoy doing and so on, and also to give you the opportunity to meet me (after all, you want to make sure that you will feel at ease with me as your PT!) and to see the studio. This will cost you nothing other than an hour or so of your time.
If and when you have decided that Mum2B personal training is for you, we will meet up again for a more detailed chat about your lifestyle, exercise regime (or otherwise!) and what you are aiming to achieve*. I will also do a postural analysis and will give you a food diary to fill in over the following week. Based on all that we will have discussed, and on the postural and nutritional analyses, we can then get going on exercise sessions that will be tailored specifically for you. This initial consultation costs £40.
*Please do bear in mind that pregnancy is not the time to embark on a major fitness drive but rather, a period when one should aim to maintain fitness levels.
How Much
Personal training sessions may be booked and paid for in blocks of ten or twenty and become progressively cheaper the bigger the booking:
So if you book and pay for ten sessions, you will get a 5% discount and pay £380 instead of £400.
If you book and pay for twenty sessions, you will get a 10% discount, and pay £720 instead of £800.
If you are interested in Mum2B personal training and would like to pop round for a chat and to visit the studio, then please do contact me either via email (Joanna@zest4lifeuk.com), mobile (07899938032) or landline (01509 210269).
Shared Sessions
Another option that might work for you is 2Mums2B Personal training: if you are happy to exercise with another mother-to-be who is at a similar stage in her pregnancy, at 65% of the cost – that’s £66 between the two of you – this is a competitive choice. And it’s fun! Moreover, the same discounts apply according to the number of sessions you book and pay for:
If you book and pay for ten 2Mums2B sessions, you will get a 5% discount and pay £627 instead of £660 between the two of you.
With twenty sessions booked and paid for, you will get a 10% discount and pay £1188 instead of £1320 between the two of you.
Cancellations
With regard to bookings, please note that although I do my very best to be flexible – and I really do understand that life can unexpectedly get in the way of your PT sessions – I would appreciate it if cancellations could be made as far ahead as possible. Cancellations within 24 hours of our session will, unfortunately, have to be paid for.
